Justin Gaffrey

I found Justin Gaffrey in the Panhandle of Florida. I think that he is an awesome artist. I would love to one day own at least one piece of his art.

My 1st encounter was seeing one of his painting in the Walton County Courthouse. I thought he used the textures and colors in a new and interesting way. It looks as though he was strongly influenced by Impressionists such as Van Gogh and Monet.

My 2nd encounter was during an art show at The Villiage of Baytowne. I saw his work and thought that it looked similar to that of the one on display in the local courthouse. Justin Gaffrey was there and I was able to talk to him for a minute. He told me a little of his biography, how he had only been painting for about 5 years, at that time, and how his wife Billie had introduced him to art. Prior to being an artist, he was a chef. I am inspired that he was able to make a career change and do something so creative so well without the technical training.
